Born in 1960 in Moscow.

In 1983 graduated from MGIMO University, Moscow (Faculty of International Relations).

Since 1983 assumed different positions in the Foreign Ministry.

1996 – 2000 – Counsellor, Head of Political Section, Embassy of  Russia, Tel Aviv, Israel.

2000 – 2003 – Counsellor, Head of  Department, Directorate for Foreign Relations, RF President’s Administration.

2003 – 2006 – Minister-Counsellor, Embassy of Russia, Damascus, Syria.

2006 – 2009 – Deputy Head, Cabinet of the Minister of  Foreign Affairs of Russia.

2009 – 2015 – Consul General of Russia, Istanbul, Türkiye  .

2015 – 2017 – Directorate of the Crisis Situations Center-Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

Speaks Arabic, English and French.

Married, Father of three grown-up children.
